Hellens is a graduate of Austin Peay State University and Hopkinsville Community College - University of Kentucky and joined the audit team at Blankenship in 2024. Hellens has over 23 years’ experience in financial audits, single audits, sunset audits, non-profit organizations, quasi-government, foundations, special projects, reviews, Ad Valorem audits, and fraud investigations. She is a member of the Tennessee Government Accountants, and the Middle Tennessee Association of Fraud Examiners. Hellens graduated valedictorian from high school at her home country of Panama and cum laude from Austin Peay. Hellens is bilingual, friendly, and a volunteer teacher for the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) at Saint Philip Catholic Church in Franklin, Tennessee. She was inspired to serve God and others at an early age after she met Saint Mother Theresa at age seven and collaborated with the missionaries of charity since then. She has two sons – one who is a law student and one with Autistic Aspergers studying computer science. In her free time, Hellens like walking, hiking, reading, spending time with family and friends and helping others. She loves nature and all that God’s creation has to offer. Certifications
